International Meeting Center

Schorndorf says "Welcome"!

Logo des Zentrums für internationale BegegnungenWith the „Zentrum für internationale Begegnungen – ZiB“ (International Meeting Center), the city of Schorndorf created in cooperation with the „Kreisdiakonieverband Rems-Murr“ a place where people from different nations and cultures can meet, get in touch and bring diversity in our city. Heart of the ZiB is the meeting café. Besides there are different events planned, such as information sessions, convivial evenings and courses.
At the ZiB, there are special offers, asylum seeker and refugees can join in for guidance and care in the framework of their procedure for granting the right of asylum. Give us a visit sometime.

Offers at the International Meeting Center

  • Meeting-Café
Meeting people from all over the world is exciting. The meeting café will make this happen. We work non-profit-making, that means we are offering drinks and snacks for the factory costs. Wednesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm there are contact persons from the “Kreisdiakonieverband Rems-Murr” to get into conversation with. They will attend refugees on their procedure of granting the right of asylum or give them support with visits of agencies, etc.

    Opening hours:
    Tuesday 12:30 to 18:00
    Wednesday 15:00 to 20:00
    Thursday 12:30 to 18:00
    Friday 10:00 to 13:00
  • Support and attendance
Where can I attend something? Who's the right contact person? An important part of our International Meeting Center is guidance. For general questions, Annette Oehler is the right contact person for asylum-seekers and volunteers. Aspasia Mavridou advices, accompanies and conveys refugees with traumatized experiences to doctors and psychotherapists. You can contact the personnel face-to-face during the open get-together on wednesday and friday or via phone or e-mail.
